Their Lifelong Connection Becomes Lifelong Gift

Jeff and Pat Druyun

Jeff Druyun, pictured with his wife, Pat, has a long connection to the Home. His gift ensures his support will continue for years to come.

Jeff Druyun's recent return to volunteer at Los Angeles Jewish Health truly felt like going home. After all, generations of his family have walked through its doors.

Jeff's mother, Goldie, volunteered at the Home earlier in her life, as did Jeff and his wife, Pat. Jeff's grandmother was a cook there in the 1930s.

So, when it came time for Goldie to find a place for her next phase of life, she naturally turned to the Home.

"She wasn't comfortable anywhere else," Jeff says. "The staff is beyond description, and their performance is exceptional. I was absolutely comfortable with her decision."

In gratitude for the care Goldie received as a resident, Jeff and Pat made a gift of a percentage of their estate to support LAJH’s future needs.

"They provide high-quality care for everyone, even if residents run out of financial support. It's a lifesaver," he says.

Jeff and Pat believe that any amount of support, whether through volunteer hours or a legacy gift, is a smart investment that makes a difference for residents.

"We think it's important to help the Home provide care for others. They have a good look into the future, and my family wanted to help," he says.

You, too, can leave a legacy, even if it's a percentage of your home, IRA or retirement plan. Contact Aaron Levinson at aaron.levinson@jha.org or (818) 757-4416 to learn more about your giving options.
