Leading by Example

Larry Schnaid and family

Because of his connection to Los Angeles Jewish Health, Larry Schnaid has made it a priority to give back to the organization by making annual gifts and including LAJH in his estate plan.

When Larry Schnaid moved back to his hometown of Los Angeles from New York two decades ago, he wanted to connect with a group of men who were successful, like-minded and part of the same community. He found just that with The Guardians, one of Los Angeles Jewish Health’s fundraising support groups.

“Through finding the fraternal nature of The Guardians that has been supporting the Jewish Home for over 80 years, I found my connection to LAJH,” Larry says. “It feels great to be a part of the long tradition of The Guardians. I have not only enjoyed supporting the Jewish Home, but making some of my best friends as well.”

Larry, who is a private wealth advisor and senior portfolio manager at Affinity Wealth Partners, is a past president of The Guardians, which is now open to both men and women. He says that “being a leader of an 80-plus-year-old fraternal-based fundraising group that has been at the forefront of helping seniors’ lives in Los Angeles has been one of life’s best rewards.”

Because of his strong feelings toward Los Angeles Jewish Health, Larry has made it a priority to give back to the organization by making annual gifts, as well as including it in his estate plan.

“I hope that through my leadership and example, we have ensured that there will still be several more generations of Guardians leadership that gives back to the Jewish Home,” he says.
